Katy has always loved to explore new cultures, leading her to study art history in college and pack her bags to live and work in Venice, Italy following graduation. The idea to work in the travel industry was first planted in 2016 when Katy realized how much she loved giving advice and helping friends plan their dream trips. She took the plunge a year later and is now a Certified Travel Advisor, applying her research and customer service skills honed in years of nonprofit development and fundraising to crafting the perfect itinerary. Katy was honored to be recognized as a Top Travel Specialist by Condé Nast Traveler for 2023.

Katy calls Austin, TX home and has the best travel buddy in her husband Charlie. They welcomed their son Cooper in 2020 and love to share the world with him—finally someone to fill the middle seat!

sustainable travel

Travel brings us up close to some of our planet’s most stunning natural wonders and connects us with cultures around the globe. It also has the power to change places and the lives of the people who live there – for better or for worse. We partner with Sustainable Travel International to help travelers calculate and offset the carbon emissions that are generated by their flights to mitigate the climate impact of tourism.
